So you want to buy a fixer-upper?
- Over 55?
If you or your spouse is 55 or older, you may be able to move into a house of equal or lessor value
and transfer your property tax basis. Read the articles
(or call me for details).

How can I help?
- I'll try to make the process of home-buying easier, more enjoyable and less time-comsuning.
- We'll meet and try to determine what your needs and desires are (number of bedrooms, locations, style of house, etc)
and how much you are willing to invest in your purchase.
- I'll help you get pre-approved for a loan. This is necessary in today's tight market in order for your offer to be
taken seriously. When we make the offer, it will include the letter from the lender indicating that you are pre-approved for a
loan.
- I'll search the MLS to find homes that meet your criteria and try to preview them so you don't lose
valuable time in looking at homes that are inappropriate. Many of these houses have virtual tours, so
you'll also be able to preview them without having to visit them.
I can also inform you about homes
that may be coming on the market that I know about before they are listed.
I can email you listings as soon as they
become available. You'll also be able to search listings on my web site.
- I'll help you determine an appropriate price to pay based on recent selling prices for comparable homes.
- We'll fill out the purchase contract and all other required forms in order to maximize our chances of success.
- Once the offer is accepted, I can help you arrange financing and inspections and walk you through escrow and closing.
And if your interested in buying an Eichler...
If you decide you want to try to find an Eichler before it hits the market, I can possibly help with that as well. If
we can pinpoint your needs and the types of Eichlers that you want (atrium? courtyard?) and the area(s) you wish to
buy in, I can mail the Eichler owners in the neighborhood to see if they're willing to sell.
